Terms and Conditions – PG Gurgaon

Welcome to PG Gurgaon. To ensure a safe, secure, and harmonious living environment, we require all residents to strictly adhere to the following Terms and Conditions during their stay.

By checking in and staying at our property, you agree to comply with these rules. We reserve the right to change or update any policy regulations as necessary.

1. Security Deposit & Refund Policy

  • Notice Period: A strict 30-day prior notice is required before vacating the premises. If a resident fails to provide this 30-day notice, the entire security deposit will be forfeited.

  • Maintenance Fee: A standard fee of INR 1,999 will be deducted from the security deposit at the time of vacating for general maintenance charges.

  • Deductions: Any unpaid utilities, bills, or damages will be deducted from the security deposit before the balance is refunded.

  • Refund Processing: All refunds shall be processed via cheque or online transfer. It can take up to 45 days to process the refund after we obtain the correct bank account details from the resident.

2. Bookings, Cancellations, & Reporting Issues

  • Cancellations: The booking amount, once paid, is only cancellable within 12 hours of the original booking. No cancellations or refunds can be made after this period.

  • Reporting Issues: All issues regarding the room or property must be reported within 7 days of move-in. Verbal communication is not sufficient; issues must be communicated via email or the PG Gurgaon App.

3. Guest Policy

  • Opposite Gender: Guests of the opposite gender are strictly not allowed in the rooms of residents.

  • Approval & ID: An application must be submitted by the host resident at least 6 hours prior to the guest’s arrival. Proper identification proof of the guest must be submitted before arrival. If ID proof is not provided, we reserve the right to ask the guest to leave the premises immediately.

  • Charges & Duration: If a guest stays with a resident, a fee of INR 800 + GST per day will be charged (inclusive of meals; may vary by property). A maximum stay of 4 days is allowed.

  • Responsibility: The host resident is fully responsible for any actions or damages caused by their guest.

4. Code of Conduct & Anti-Social Behavior

We try our utmost to maintain a harmonious environment across our properties. All residents are expected to respect the rights of fellow residents, our staff, and contractors.

  • Zero Tolerance for Misbehavior: Misbehaving with staff, contractors, or other guests and residents is strictly prohibited. Misconduct, disruptive behavior, or any abusive act will not be tolerated and will lead to disciplinary action, including termination of the agreement.

  • Harassment & Bullying: We do not tolerate any form of harassment (including sexual harassment), bullying, cyberbullying, or discrimination based on race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or religion.

  • Noise Restrictions: Noise must be kept to a minimum in and around PG Gurgaon properties between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Complaints from other residents or neighbors will result in disciplinary action.

  • Gossiping/Arguments: Residents are cautioned not to indulge in unnecessary gossip or loud arguments inside or outside the premises, as it affects the environment and the image of the property.

5. Security & Access Control

  • Keys: Room keys are for individual use only and must not be shared with other residents or non-residents. Keys must not be left unattended. Lock all doors and windows when leaving the room.

  • Tailgating: Residents must not allow unauthorized persons to follow them into the building. Access is restricted to residents only.

  • Restricted Areas: Residents must not access unauthorized areas (e.g., roof areas not designed for resident use, back offices, control rooms).

  • Obstructions: Do not obstruct access to fire exits, wheelchair ramps, property access points, or room doors.

  • Lockouts: If locked out, appropriate identification must be provided to gain access. Access is provided free of charge the first time, but a fee will be charged for subsequent lockouts.

6. Property, Room Maintenance, & Damages

Residents must maintain their rooms and common areas in a clean, presentable, and working condition at all times.

  • Prohibited Items: No large pieces of furniture, large musical instruments, or air mattresses are allowed. Additional electrical items (dishwashers, fridges, freezers, tumble dryers, washing machines) are strictly prohibited.

  • Decorations & Alterations: No posters or flyers are allowed on windows or common areas. Items that leave scratches, holes, or marks on walls or ceilings are strictly prohibited.

  • Balconies: No items, including laundry and towels, may be hung over balconies, terraces, or window ledges.

  • Furniture: Furniture provided in rooms and shared spaces must not be moved from its designated area.

  • Damage Liability: Any loss or damage to PG Gurgaon property (including carpets/floors) will result in charges. If damage occurs in a resident’s room, that resident is responsible for repair costs. If damage occurs in a shared common area, the cost will be divided equally among the residents of that space unless one person admits fault.

7. Inspections

We may conduct routine room inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that health, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Residents are expected to pass these inspections. Repeated failure to meet cleanliness standards will result in charges for professional cleaners to return the room to its original condition.

8. Substances, Illegal Activities, & Weapons

  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.

  • Drugs & Illegal Substances: Any illegal substances (including drugs, marijuana/weed) are strictly prohibited.

  • Alcohol: Alcohol must not be consumed in common spaces. Prior permission from roommates is required before consuming alcohol in shared rooms. Residents under the age of 25 are legally prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol.

  • Gambling: Gambling is not permitted on the property.

  • Weapons: The possession of weapons or firearms (including but not limited to knives, swords, batons, daggers, guns, tasers, or slingshots) is strictly prohibited. Violators will face immediate termination of their agreement and will be reported to the authorities.
